Through this, she seeks to advocate for the importance of crafting, disseminating, and sharing playful ideas that work.

WORK + RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

DOCTORAL CANDIDATE, university of oxford

2016-2021

Timea completed her doctorate (DPhil) at the University of Oxford’s Institute of Social Policy and Social Invervention under the supervisor of Professor Mary Daly and Dr Stuart Basten. During her tenure, she designed and conducted a qualitative study to explore the onset of low fertility trends. Her thesis fused sociology, demography, and policy to study low fertility behaviour in The Republic of Serbia, responding to pertinent political issues on the country’s declining and ageing population. The project was interested in studying and exploring family life on a small scale; understanding the interior lives of families and how they form decisions to have children. A fulfilling and rewarding project, its research finding offered contributions in policy needs for supporting young adults make important life transitions into independent adulthood; the experiences of birthing women in Belgrade’s public healthcare settings; and housing arrangements for Serbian families.
